The Club is delighted to announce the signing of a professional for the 2003 season. He is Greg Mail, aged 24, the New South Wales right hand bat and right arm medium pace bowler who replaces his former team-mate, Mark Higgs. Greg made his debut for New South Wales in the 1999/2000 season, since when he has scored 1587 runs at an average of 34.50, his highest score being 176. He has also taken two wickets at an average of 25.50. Greg
made his debut against Queensland at Brisbane, amd made three half centuries in his opening first class summer.
He is described as tall, tenacious and talented, and is a natural opening batsman. Also he is regarded as a brilliant fielder.
