Philip Sykes (captain) Right hand batsman. Scored over 8,000 Senior League runs with 46 fifties in the 1st XI - also, 3 Senior League centuries vs Enfield, Ramsbottom and Lowerhouse. Played at Rishton from 1984 to 1990 before moving to Church in 1991. Now in his fifth year as captain, he has been selected for the Lancashire League XI vs Central Lancashire League on two occasions. Nick Westwell Aged 42 years. Has taken 551 League and Cup wickets for Church since his debut in 1975. Best bowling performance was 9-83 vs Lowerhouse in 1983. His best batting performance was 51 off 32 balls vs Bacup in 1994. Selected for England U/15 in 1975. Right arm medium pace bowler and lower order right hand hard hitting batsman. Mark Aspin Aged 39 years. Right hand batsman and right arm medium pace swing bowler. Made debut for Accrington in 1979. Member of their winning Worsley Cup side in 1986. Won Lancashire League U/25 award for highest wicket taker in both 1985 and 1986. In 1987, he joined Walshaw as professional and further engagements followed at Leek, Read and British Aerospace. Returned to the Lancashire League in 1994 at Accrington, and joined Church in 1996. Represented the county at 2nd XI standard, and also played minor county cricket for Staffordshire. Best batting performance in Lancashire League of 113 for Church vs Colne, and best bowling of 7-15 vs Haslingden. Alec Holt Aged 33 years. Left hand batsman who made his debut for Church in 1990. Currently holds amateur record at Church for most runs in a season with 781 runs in 1995. Highest Senior League score of 109 vs Haslingden. Was selected for Lancashire League team in 1997 and represented Lancashire at U/13 level. John Seedle Aged 43 years. Right hand batsman and right arm medium pace swing bowler. Made 1st XI debut in Lancashire League with East Lancs in 1977. For 10 years, had professional engagements with seven clubs. Was selected for Lancashire 2nd XI on several occasions. Won two Lancashire League titles and three Worsley Cup winners medals from three Final appearances. His highest Lancashire League score of 81 runs and best bowling of 7-31 were achieved this season vs Burnley. Represented Lancashire League vs Central Lancashire League in 2002. He is a qualified ECB level 2 cricket coach. Andrew Bentley Aged 18 years. Right hand batsman and right arm swing bowler. Made debut vs Enfield in 2000. His best batting performance in the Senior League is 36 vs Rawtenstall. Best bowling is 3-32 vs Enfield. Played for Lancashire U/11s to U/16s. Sam Tucker Aged 17 years. Right hand batsman and wicketkeeper. Made his debut vs Bacup in 1998. Represented Lancashire from U/11s to U/16s. Played for Notts 2nd XI in 2002. Took five victims vs Accrington in 2000, and his best batting performance is 30 runs. Craig Fergusson Aged 20 years. Left hand batsman and right arm off spinner. Made his debut vs Colne aged 15 years. His best batting performance is 84 runs vs Todmorden. Represented Lancashire U/11s to U/19s and Lancashire 2nd XI. Thomas O'Neill Aged 21 years. Right hand batsman and right arm fast bowler. Made his debut vs Enfield. His best bowling performance is 6-40 vs Accrington. His highest score is 32 runs vs Ramsbottom. Represented Lancashire U/11s. Won the Lancashire League U/23s Bowling Award in 2001 for most wickets. David Bury Aged 22 years. Right hand batsman. Made his 1st XI debut in 1997. His highest score is 46 vs Enfield. Was a member of Church 2nd XI cup winning side in 1999. Peter Rowbottom Aged 28 years. Right hand batsman. Made debut vs Rawtenstall in 2002. His highest 2nd XI score is 51 runs vs Rawtenstall.
